The People

Casey Ellison

Dr Casey Ellison

My strengths and passions are learning and collaboration, thinking outside of established models, and creating health in a way that considers all aspects of life.  My focus is in affirming folks rather than telling them what to do.

I love swimming, biodynamic pasture care and farming, crafting, traveling to study, making things and learning to build, as well as working with plants and essential oils.  Working in community and collaborating with others are the ways I choose to foster a new vision of healthcare.

I chose this path because I needed to feel empowered… about my body, my safety, my choices, and my right to feel better than ok. I needed the knowledge to take care of myself. So I studied, and I practiced, and built bridges with the geeky science-minded folks while keeping artists as my allies.

My Holistic Studies began thirteen years ago at Heartwood Institute, a magical school located in the coastal mountain range of Northern California, where I completed a 1200 hour Holistic Health Practitioner Program. There, I applied my undergraduate degree of Biology and Chemistry to further study in western hard sciences and Deep Tissue Massage.

ashtanga, cold plunge and zazen dork. with a strong affinity for non complication and a peculiar musical taste.

I am a Brazilian who ended up falling in love and coming to Vermont. Getting to share daily space with some of my favorite people at the Wheelhouse has been one of the luckiest things that could have happened to me. My main community jobs here are to take care of the plants, alternate off leash dog walking and frantically fetching with web and graphic design, and making sure that Claire doesn't work too much.
